Windows XP上のHTML 4.01の文字参照のサポート状況

　HTML 4.01 5.3「文字参照」で定められている文字実体参照と数値実体参照について、各ユーザエージェントのサポート状況をまとめました。なお、調査したのはWindows XP上の次のバージョンです。

　HTML 4.01にあわせ三つの表に分割しました。

マーク付け記号と国際化文字の文字実体参照

　また、utf-8でのサポート状況を確認できるように文字参照をUnicodeに置き換えた表も用意しました。

註2　en wikiのZero-Width non-joinerの説明にあるように、字体はスペースで区切った場合(文字実態参照の上段)と同じで、ぴったりくっつくのが正しい処理です。数値実態参照の上段には単にくっつけてしまった場合を載せ、それぞれの下段がZero-Width non-joinerを使用した例です。アラビア語は右から書くのでスペースで区切ると右側が上段になります。
註3　アラビア文字のTCHEHが、Zero-Width Joinerにあるように変化するのが正しい処理です。上段がچ、中段が&zwj;چ、下段がچ&zwj;です。Mozillaは中段のみサポートしています。
註4　アラビア文字が左から右になるかを見ています。
